Tomtree is the website of the multimedia journalist and writer Tom Levitt. Previously deputy editor at the Ecologist and now managing editor at chinadialogue.

I specialise in food, farming and environmental science and have reported widely within Europe and internationally from Africa, Asia and Central America. My journalism has featured on CNN, Guardian, Grist and Independent among others. I have been a guest contributor to Huffington Post and a chair and panelist at a number of conferences and online discussions.

Outside of work, I have rowed down the Thames and across the English Channel and reached number 46 in the Christmas music charts in 1993.
